June 2016 – A month that will not be forgotten anytime soon!

As manufacturers ourselves, shipping worldwide since 1967, although we are wondering with bated breath how this will affect our trading within the EU,  the quality of our Precision Engineered Ceramic Components will as always remain at the high standard that we are renowned for globally. Our production facility is dedicated to advance technical ceramic component manufacture, in a wide range of machinable and non machinable technical ceramics. The Team at Ceramic Substrates  has  considerable pride in their work which is essential to maintain the highest quality of work possible, assisting in distinguishing us from our Competitors.

Sean our Production Manager celebrated his 30th year of working for Ceramic Substrates, he joined the Company from leaving School and his knowledge and experience of our materials is like an encyclopaedia.  (The Team joined in the celebrations, with the art of cake eating.)

Anyway,  in between the cake eating the Team have been busy with their best skills and attributes and that is the art of manufacturing and machining precision engineered ceramic components.

Jason, in our Material Preparation room has had to work rigorously to keep up with the demand by Production for the pressed and extruded material requirements; such as Steatites, Aluminas and refractories. Chris has been busy changing the tool settings on our various Presses for different jobs as well as making new tools for new projects.  Each time a tool is set-up on the presses, samples always have to be pressed and fired, before any batch runs can be manufactured.
