2017 Just the Start

It is always good, upon returning to work following our Christmas and New Year Shutdown, to know that all Departments on the Shop Floor have a busy work schedule and it was not long before the Team were back in the full swing of things and orders were ready for dispatch. Many members of the Team feel that the start of the New Year brings the start of lighter evenings, which for the budding Cyclists, Para gliders and horse riders among us brings more smiley faces.

At the start of the New Year forecasts and call off orders are a favourite for our Office Team to assist with the smooth planning of all departments on the Shop Floor and they like nothing better than a schedule and a “good old” excel spreadsheet! 

As an official UK Macor® distributor we always have Macor in stock and at the beginning of the year we place a call off order with Corning’s so our stock of Macor is maintained. All deliveries to Ceramic Substrates from Corning’s have full traceability which is readily available to our Customers on request. 

Jason from our Powder Room has put in his request for raw materials which are used in the manufacture our own materials such as Steatites and Porcelain.

 The Team say farewell to Belinda, who for the past seven years has been raising and dispatching Customer Orders, assisting Andy and Sharon in the Office. Belinda starts a fresh chapter in her life and the Team wish her well on her new adventure. Replacing Belinda is Jo, Jo has spent the past couple of weeks working alongside Belinda learning the tricks of the trade or I should say skills and knowledge? Jo has worked in Admin/Accounts for various companies during her working life and following her move to the Isle of Wight started working for Ceramic Substrates. We welcome Jo the Team and wish her all the best. (and most importantly like the rest of the Team Jo likes cake).
